Story Synopsis & Significance

This volume kicks off one of the absolute golden eras of modern Daredevil storytelling, pulling Matt Murdock into a dark crime conspiracy:

• The Coup: An ambitious and deceptive underworld figure named Sammy Silke convinces Wilson Fisk's (The Kingpin) inner circle and lieutenants to stage an all-out mutiny against their boss.

• The Target: Directly tied to this underboss uprising is a hit placed on Matt Murdock's life. As Daredevil attempts to clean up the violent street fallout in Hell's Kitchen, he begins to push past his traditional moral boundaries, testing his limits as the "Man Without Fear."
